7th Grade

7th grade art is a hands-on class that runs all semester. Students meet every other day for 87 minutes. Various mediums are explored; drawing, clay, painting, plaster and computer generated design. The concepts of design are taught along with the integration of artists, and other subject matters.

Oct. 31-Nov. 4: Put together the painting, outline it, and glue on a backing. Work on Doodle 4 Google.

Oct. 24-28: Finish painting all 9 cards, by the end of the week.
Oct. 17-21:Continue to pint color schemes.7/9 cards completed by end of week.
Oct. 10-14: Continue to paint color scheme cards. 4/9 cards painted by end of week.

​Oct. 3- 7: Design painting and label. Start to paint. Have 2 of 9 cards painted by end of week.
Sept. 26-30: Introduce Color and paintings. Take notes on google classroom. Start to design painting. 
Sept. 19-23: Pull out mask and glaze, paint and add materials. Due end of week, with a paragraph explaining how your mask represents you. Take picture of it and load up to Artsonia, along with artist statement.
Sept.12-16: Design logos in Photoshop all week. Learning layers, type tool and  move tool. Set up Artsonia gallery.
Sep.t 6-9: Finish building clay masks
